Hello Towson,

The end of a perfect month?

Did you know February 2026 is a perfect month? Also called a rectangular month designating a month whose number of days is divisible by the number of days in a week and whose first day corresponds to the first day of the week. This causes the arrangement of the days of the month to resemble a rectangle.

In this week’s Towson Torch:

  • Welcoming Towson’s New Police Commander

NEW THINGS TO DO

Did You Know Towson Has a Public Planetarium?

Towson University welcomes schools, community, and private groups to experience the planetarium.

Each semester, four shows are offered with different focuses, from exploring Mars to the unique stories of stars. Every show, while individual, will leave you with a greater understanding of the Universe that surrounds us.

Interstellar Experiences - Each show at the planetarium has a specific theme associated with it. While the themes often differ, the following are examples of shows in the past similar to what we try to offer each semester. - Check out Shows at The Public Planetarium

Anime Night at Zen West

Listen... we get it. This whole β€œanime music in clubs” thing doesn’t exactly come with a manual. That’s why Anime Night is best described as an anime music concert party. Think of everything you love about the culture , cosplay, exhibitors, community, but bring it into a live rock show atmosphere featuring your favorite anime openings, endings, and more.
