Good Food in Towson Doesn't Have to Mean an Expensive Night Out
Towson has plenty of higher-end restaurants—and no shortage of familiar national chains—but there's another layer to the local food scene that's particularly valuable if you're a college student or simply watching what you spend.
You can find Vietnamese pho, Sichuan cooking, Jamaican jerk chicken, Nepalese momos, Thai curries, Mediterranean food, ramen, pizza, burgers, bagels and old-school diner breakfasts within a relatively small radius.
Many of these places can get you fed for somewhere around $10 to $20, while others can still be reasonably affordable depending on what you order.
More importantly, spending those dollars at an independent restaurant gives you an opportunity to discover a place—and often a family or entrepreneur—that's part of the Towson community.
So the next time someone in the dorm, office or group chat asks:
"Where should we eat that isn't a chain and isn't crazy expensive?"
Send them this list.
