Towson, MD — May 13, 2025 — The Towson Arts Collective is thrilled to celebrate the inspiring leadership of Elizabeth Davidson, Executive Director, whose visionary approach continues to reimagine how the arts connect, uplift, and enrich the Greater Towson community. Since stepping into the role, Davidson has brought renewed energy and purpose to the Collective — cultivating spaces where artists of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds feel empowered to create, share, and belong. Her dedication to community-centered programming has shaped everything from gallery shows and educational workshops to immersive outdoor experiences.

This fall marks one of the Collective’s most anticipated events under Davidson’s guidance: the 4th Annual Arts in the Park, returning to Cromwell Valley Park on Saturday, October 11, 2025. A celebration of art, music, and nature, the festival draws families, students, professional artists, and first-time creators alike to experience a full day of creativity beneath the autumn canopy. The event will once again feature original music, artist booths, interactive art-making, food trucks, and local treasures that highlight the richness of Baltimore County’s creative spirit. Board member Genie Briggs shares, “Watching this event grow under Elizabeth’s leadership has been nothing short of magical. The way she weaves community engagement into every detail — from the art on display to the people behind the scenes — makes the Collective feel like a true home for the arts in Towson.”

True to the Collective’s mission of being an arts education center, Davidson has also expanded opportunities for students and emerging arts professionals through an internship program that offers hands-on experience in all aspects of running a nonprofit arts organization. From curating exhibitions and coordinating events to learning about nonprofit management and community outreach, interns gain valuable insight into what it means to support a thriving creative ecosystem.

“We’re not just exhibiting art — we’re cultivating future arts leaders,” says Davidson. “Our internship program allows students to step into realworld roles and become part of the creative heartbeat of the community.” With exciting initiatives ahead — including a 2nd themed Spring Soiree, community field trips, and growing local partnerships”

Davidson continues to guide the Towson Arts Collective with creativity, purpose, and a deep commitment to empowering others through the arts.
