Pooles Island Brewing Company Is Moving North to Hunt Valley
Pooles Island Brewing Company is getting a new home, and a new brewery neighbor.
The Middle River-based brewery announced that it will relocate its operations to BC Brewery in Hunt Valley, where the two local beer makers will share space beginning October 1, 2026.
Pooles Island Brewing Company, commonly known as PIBCo, said the move will allow it to focus on its co-packing operations, Copperhead, while continuing to produce its beer from the BC Brewery facility. The arrangement is being described as a co-location rather than a merger, giving each brewery the opportunity to maintain its individual brand while operating under one roof.
“Same great beer, new home,” the company said in announcing the move.
For Pooles Island customers, the announcement also brings good news about unused gift cards. Beginning October 1, all outstanding Pooles Island Brewing Company gift cards will be honored at the BC Brewery taproom.
Located at 10950 Gilroy Road in Hunt Valley, BC Brewery offers a spacious self-serve taproom featuring a rotating selection of craft beers. The addition of Pooles Island will bring another established Baltimore County brewery—and potentially more variety—to the popular local destination.
The move comes as Maryland’s craft-beer industry continues to evolve, with breweries exploring partnerships and shared facilities to reduce operating costs and reach new customers.
Although Pooles Island is leaving its longtime Middle River address, the brewery emphasized that its beer is not going away. Instead, fans will now be able to find the Pooles Island name alongside BC Brewery in northern Baltimore County.
