In a era marked by division among many Americans, one Towson entrepreneur, who immigrated from Nepal to pursue the American dream, remains steadfast in his pursuit. Last Friday morning, March 7th, Nara Khakurel, the owner of Coffee Talk Cafe on Pennsylvania Avenue, welcomed friends, family, and the community to celebrate the café's ninth anniversary. Clearly a testament to the man he is, and the impact he has made on his community, the event drew a remarkable turnout. Hundreds of attendees, included friends, family, customers, and even Baltimore County Community leaders, all gathering to congratulate Nara on his journey, which has not been without its challenges. - Read the Article

🚧 Towson High School to Undergo Renovations

The original Towson High School opened in 1949 on the existing property and has had 3 additions built over the course of its useful life.

According to Baltimore County Public Schools, Towson High is undergoing a renovation/addition that will provide students, staff and community with a 21st century learning environment, and it is anticipated that this project will change the state rated capacity (SRC) of the school from 1,260 to 1,728. This project consists of the construction of a large addition adjacent to the existing building, demolition of portions of the existing building, renovation of all remaining areas of the existing building, and restoration of the fields and athletic facilities.
