A Congressional letter emphasizes the Apple Towson outlet as a “high-performing” site boasting around 100 technologically adept employees. 🎭 Towson University Announces Summer at the Center Arts Festival 2026
Towson University’s College of Fine Arts & Communication (COFAC) will present the 2026 Summer at the Center Arts Festival, “America 250: Voices of a Nation,” from June 11 through July 11, 2026, at the University’s Center for the Arts.
Created in honor of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, the monthlong multidisciplinary festival explores the evolving American story through theater, dance, music, visual art, film and community engagement, reflecting the many voices and experiences that define America’s cultural landscape. for New Towson Location
Lib’s Grill has officially opened its newest location in Towson, bringing its popular blend of upscale casual dining, fresh seafood, hand-cut steaks, and signature cocktails to the heart of downtown. Located on West Pennsylvania Avenue, the restaurant marks an exciting addition to Towson’s growing dining scene. Known for its welcoming atmosphere and commitment to quality, Lib’s Grill offers a menu featuring a raw bar, Maryland-inspired favorites, weekend brunch, and craft beverages. The opening creates new jobs, attracts visitors to the area, and provides residents with a vibrant gathering place for lunch, dinner, special occasions, and community celebrations.

Towson Student Accepted to Prestigious Grammy Camp in New York City

Congratulations to Towson’s Maisie Rehkemper who has earned a spot at the prestigious 2026 GRAMMY Camp in New York, becoming the only student from the Baltimore area selected for the highly competitive program. A 16-year-old junior at the George Washington Carver Center for Arts and Technology,
Rehkemper was accepted into the Music Production track after submitting original recordings and mixes.

Towson’s Zack Merrick of All Time Low, Joins Upcoming Horror-Comedy Project
Towson native Zack Merrick, best known as the bassist for the multi-platinum band All Time Low, is stepping into the horror film world with an exciting new project. Merrick has joined the cast of the upcoming horror-comedy mockumentary Who Put That There?, which is currently building support through kickstarter crowd funding and fan engagement ahead of production. The film follows a meticulous museum worker whose life is disrupted by mysterious supernatural events, blending scares with humor.

After a mild start to the week, temps will warm up heading into the weekend. The Normal High for Baltimore is now 80, but it should get close to 90 by Friday and Saturday. We could still use some rain, but the next chance will likely hold off until early next week.
