This past week marked the long awaited grand opening of Tous les Jour, a French Asian bakery, located at 501 York Rd in Towson, at the corner of York and Pennsylvania in the old Wells Fargo Bank location. This opening marks the second bakery opening this summer with a wave of bakeries opening across the area and the country.

The daily inspirational quote on a chalkboard outside Todd Briggs’ home in West Towson has been a staple for neighbors, and sometimes a draw for far-off visitors, over the past five years. And there have been more than 1,800 so far; Briggs has never missed a day.

Dear Sarah,

Eight months ago, I found out my girlfriend was cheating on me. It was one of the most painful experiences of my life, and since then, I’ve worked really hard to rebuild my life. I have hobbies, new friends, and a job I’m proud of. It’s like my life checks all the boxes of someone that has a great life, but I still feel completely numb. 

And then I met someone new. It was really unexpected. I’m not ready for this at all. Maybe I just have trust issues now. I feel like I’m setting myself up to be blindsided again. How do I go forward from here?
